It is a great honour and priveledge for Hungary to be hosting the 2014 WEKAF World Championships, one of the most prestigious martial arts events in the world.
In Hungary, Eskrima is still in its infancy, but its practitioners are ambitious and enthusiastic to show to every nation that we are here to be recognized as country that produces excellent fighters and be taken very seriously in this type of sport! This next world tournament is a significant milestone for us and we are looking forward to hosting the world!

Other programmes
We’d like to make the tournament an unforgettable experience for our visitors. So in addition to the World Championship program we have prepared, we are going to offer other colourful and exciting programmes. One of these would be the Eskrima corner where you can watch documentaries about Eskrima all day long and both parents and children will have the chance to try out and have a taste of all kinds of Filippino martial arts. You can also hold real weapons and wear the protective gear.
For our foreign guests we would like to offer you the chance to experience and learn more about Hungarian culture. For example, we are planning to offer an exhibition on traditional Hungarian archery, weaponry as well as other great suprises including our famous traditional Hungarian food and culture.
